Art Genre: Oil Painting

Abby Nelson has her BFA from Brigham Young University–Idaho and primarily focuses on figurative oil paintings. She has always been drawn to people and the stories they carry with them, and makes friends with people from all walks of life.

She has lived in Utah, Idaho and the coast of California, and is inspired by the mountains, rivers, oceans, and simple lives the people there live. What interests her most is the opportunity to catch a small glimpse of another person's life and preserve that moment through painting. She finds it humbling to know that every person she passes has unique routines and experiences.
