Art Genre: Water Color Painting

Holladay-based painter, Susan McFarlane, creates textural pieces primarily in watercolor. Her work explores themes of nature and moments when we connect meaningfully with our surroundings. She loves to “play in the water” and embraces the spontaneity of watercolor as a partner in her art. She earned her degrees at BYU, PAFA, and Harvard. She has exhibited widely in her home city of Holladay with additional shows in New England, New Jersey, and Virginia.
